Will the school year be extended into July due to time lost from the effects of the coronavirus ? We do not know yet but it is wise to prepare for this very real possibility. I understand that teachers and students may not want this (although some parents may be thrilled), however it is not helpful to ignore or dismiss this prospect. Better to mentally prepare ourselves and our children now for this contingency than to be scrambling to get prepared if they announce later that school will go into July. Now is the time to talk about “what if” and to think about it. Have a back-up plan in mind. If school ends as normal, nothing has been lost. If not, we will be glad we gave it some serious thought.
