You have some extra time after the students finish their work? Here are some classic Christmas crafts that require very little supplies.
- Paper Snowflakes – cut copy paper into squares. Fold the squares in half (to make triangles or rectangles – either works). Fold them in half again. One more time. Cut little triangles or circles or rectangles out of the sides. Open the paper up and see the snowflake.
- Paper Chains – Cut different coloured construction paper into trips about an inch or two wide. Glue one end of the strip to the other to make a circle. Take another strip of paper and glue it in a circle, however go through the first circle and then glue it (see picture). Continue until you have a long chain.
- Santa with Cotton Ball Beard – Cut out a circle for Santa’s face or use a paper plate. Cut out a red triangle for Santa’s hat. Paste the triangle on the circle and pull apart cotton balls to use for Santa’s heart and the pom pom on the top of the hat. Draw eyes and a nose or use googly eyes and a pom pom for the nose.
