Parents often ask this, so here are some answers from my very unofficial survey.

1. Gift Cards – far and away the favourite – to book stores, coffee shops, craft stores, malls, spas… anything really.

2. Wine – this was the #2 answer however, also the most controversial as many people don’t want wine – so if you’re going to give wine, make sure you know this teacher will appreciate it (perhaps because you shop at the same liquor store…).

3. Something Meaningful – homemade goodies or a letter from the student or some special thing – not teacher ornaments or teacher mugs though – that’s not so special…
