3 Ways to Grab Primary Students’ Attention

1. Change your voice – talk in a high, squeaky voice or in a low, rumbly voice. Speak very quietly or say one word very loudly in the middle of the sentence. They will often look over and laugh.

2. Use a puppet – it is especially funny to them if you use your sock as a puppet and call it “Stinky”.

3. Pretend to fall asleep in the middle of the lesson and snore loudly. When they are all looking and laughing, pick up your lesson as you now have their attention.
